Nepenthe is a recipe for happiness. This word is mentioned in ancient Greek literature and mythology as a "cure for sadness". In the Odyssey, nepenthe is the name of a magical potion, given to Helen of Troy to chase away her sorrows. This is why we believe it's a great name for our home, because for us it represents a modern version to this theme. Located on top of a hill in the south of the beautiful island of Crete, overlooking olive orchards, distant mountains and the vast ocean, this place has all the ingredients to heal the soul. The project of designing and building Nepenthe was a real labour of love for us and we hope you'll feel right at home here. You'll discover why Greece is called "The Land of Gods", as all your worries fade away with every sunset.
